I’m applying for a job in the educational field as a counselor. In college I majored in a physical science which overall I didn’t make too good of grades in but I was very actively involved on campus from a student affairs view and have note worthy experience to carry out this position very well as the requirements are what I had done while in college. I plan on receiving my masters degree in education as well and if I’m able to get a job in education while applying to grad school I think it will help my application to grad school out even more showing active involvement in the field I will eventually go in to. But what my question truly is, although I didn’t do to well overall grades wise with my final cumulative being 2.2 and a 2 F’s in advanced Physics and a differential equations classes that I did make up and passed, otherwise I couldn’t have graduated; do you think I will still be considered for the job interview since it’s in a different field? And do they just use the transcripts to verify that a college degree was attained or do they look at overall?

So many massage therapists, stupid home scooters, etc. Awesome waste. Millions of stupid jobs, fleets of autos, computers, luxury medical devices for apnea to mobility crap and so on is slowly being curtailed.

It is about time. Doctors writing expensive prescriptions for strange people to travel around the country to massage people who never needed it. Waste, fraud and corruption. It should only be the essential stuff, damn it! Everything about it and the insurance companies are unrealistic. You have to go to the drug store every 30 days for 30 tablets. It is absurd. I could cite hundress or thousands of example of this boneheaded crappolla.

I favor public option healthcare, but I want it to set the example for utter speed, efficiency and economy. The nuns who ran St. Mary’s Hospital where I was born long ago, watched every penny plus everybody was quick, buttoned up and on time. run this damn new new healthcare system like that and thing will quickly improve. ship up or shape out, follow orders or look elsewhere!

there are simply too many examples of things like railroads and utilities that know how to get things done on time and under budget. undue political influence is usually the root of all waste, corruption and failure of any public endeavor.

Politicians make organizations worse, not better, Public institutions are potentially the most efficient of any kind of organization. Even in the 60s grads always chose private vs. government jobs. But political influence reverse this. Now the tail wags the dog. government work MUST exist but it has been a terrible budget dominating organization, where the workers are overpaid, over protected and spoiled rotten. There is no excuse for their benefits. It was not that long ago where government jobs were starter jobs or a last resort before retirement. millions of low skill jobs that are overpaid, vastly overpaid. They make nothing and sell nothing. the reward system is all f’d up. When my daughter finished law school, years ago, she did no consider taking a government job. boring, low pay, and little chance to expand. now, grads are contemplating a long career in government. relatively good pay, almost tenure and excellent benis. That is a bad thing. It is not sustainable if you understand anything about Macroeconomics. There must be a market to sustain government and goernment jobs. Government cannot continue unless a whjole lot of people are making some money that can be taxed. Government gotta have tax revenue, right?
Our healthcare system and our public education costs twice as much with measured results that are twice as bad than comparable nations.

My husband and I have been married since October 2008. Recently things have gone down hill drastically. He has 2 children from a previous relationship I have 1. Over the past few months we due to special holiday birthday weekends we have had the kids every weekend, whereas usually we would have kids 1 weekend then it would just be us the next. I feel that these weekends are crutial to our relationship. People who don’t have kids before they get married have a couple of years to focus on nothing but their relationship, where we will never have the luxury of years. We will always have kids who come first. I need those 4 days a month to connect with my husband on a husband/wife level, not just a mom/dad level.
On the first weekend that we would have gotten to spend just the 2 of us in months, he made plans to go up to my family’s property with his brother. I was really hurt by this, but I tried not to make a big deal of it because he promised that we would have some time 2 weekends from then.
When he got back from his trip with his brother we took the kids up to my family’s beach house for a big week long family gathering. The 2nd night we were there he was sitting down by the fire getting drunk with my uncle. At 3:30am I asked him to please come to bed, because we had a day trip planned for the next day with my cousins and their kids. He proceded to call me every name in the book. Then tried to leave. I took his keys because he was way too drunk to drive. He pushed me around for a while then managed to start his truck anyway and leave.
Just near sun up, he woke me up screaming for his keys, again cussing me out and degreading me. I was sleeping in a room with our boys, who were on an air mattress on the floor. He scared the crap out of both of them. He packed his stuff and whem his son woke up he took him left. But before that he was yelling at me in the driveway my mother came out he ended up cussing her out as well. It was really bad.
I waited 2 days for him to cool down. My son stayed at the house with my parents I came home to acess the situation. He seemed OK when I got here. His brother had been staying here while we were gone to take care of our pets, and when my hubby came home early, his brother left his playstation here for my husband’s son to play. So about an hour or so after I arrived at our house, he left to take his brother his game system back. He has now been gone for over 4 hours. When I called to ask him what was up remind him that I just drove 5 hours home to try to talk things out, he hung up on me. I called back later he said he thought I was getting an attitude with him. WTF, an attitude? We’re not 16.
He began talking about my Mom, saying all kinds of horrible things about her, like all out problem are because of her. Like if he points the finger somewhere else he won’t have to face his own issues.
I don’t understand how someone can claim to love me so much, but then not care about my feelings in the least.
My family has always stood by me, thought everything. They have always been very good to me sometimes I think he may have married me just because it made his life easier. My parents bought me a house about 5 years ago so we don’t have a mortgage. We both work for my family. My mother paid for his truck repairs when it broke down. They paid for our wedding our trip to Vegas. THey have helped us more times than I can count. I can;t shake this feeling that he doesn’t really love me, just what being my husband would gain him.
Don’t get me wrong, we do have good times. But the bad times are REALLY bad. He doesn;t seem to care about my feeling at all. He wants to do exactly what he wants all the time and if I want him to do anything else he sees it like I’m trying to get him to bow down to me, which isn;t the case at all. I love my husband more than I can describe, and I’m worried that I saw love because that’s what I wanted to see. Like I wanted it to be true so badly tha I made my self see something that wasn’t really there.
I know this is really long, so I guess I should get to my question.
I know they say that the 1st few years of marriage are the hardest. Have any of you gone through the hard times made it out the other side? Has anyone gone through anything like this and still had a sucessful marriage? Am I just deluding myself that it’s possible?
Please help. I’m so sad.

I broke up with my fiance last September after five years of being together. We have a 4 yr old son. There were many reasons why we broke up, including him not being much of a good father to our son. He chose to sit on the couch all the time instead of going outside to play ball with our son. His laziness eventually took a toll on me.
I know our breakup has affected our son, who asks me why daddy has his own place now, etc.
Since our breakup, he has tried many times to get back together, and I would always refuse. And when I would date, he would come around or call constantly and pretty much ruin any chance I had with the new guy.
My son attends preschool and sees his peers having brothers and sisters, and always asks for a brother or sister himself. I’ve found myself thinking about possibly taking my ex back and trying to resolve our issues, but am not sure if it’s a good idea. I know I need to think of what is in the best interest of my son, but I’m confused..Take him back or move on? Help please! And no need to sugarcoat anything! Thanks in advance!

I am going to be a freshman, so I know there is no need to rush, but everything from here on out counts. I really want to attend an Ivy League college(Princeton, Dartmouth, Yale, Brown, etc.). Not only do I need to be good enough to get in, but I really do need a scholarship or any financial help I can get. If not, my parents want to send me to community college for two years first, then to another college, but I don’t want to at all. The classes I am taking are as followed;

-Science 9 (My only regular class. :/)
-Academic Geometry
-Advanced Language Arts(Sophomore year;; Should I take Journalism or Advanced English 10?)
-Advanced American Studies(What do you recommend for sophomore year?;; AP U.S. History, AP U.S. GovPolitics, AP World History. I’m thinking world history?)
-Spanish 3
-Computer Literacy 1 Career Exploration as electives.
Fall sport; XC (Cross country)
Spring Sport; Softball (Playing since I was 5) and/or Track.

I don’t expect to do what I was able to do in 8th grade; Wake up at last minute, look semi-decent, go to school, do homework in study hall (do not have that luxury anymore), go home, eat a snack, computer, tv, text, bed. That was my easy schedule.

Next year I plan on waking up earlier and going to bed earlier. Taking the hour that I need to shower and get ready. Possibly actually eating breakfast this year (It is the most important meal of the day, after all), going to school, go to XC, come home, do homework, study, have a couple hours before bed, relax and sleep, and then do it all over again. I’ll have time for all that other stuff on weekends.

I enjoy reading and writing, photography, and athletics.

My goal is to have a very close-to-top class rank. There are 450+ in my grade. I want to be top thirty at the least, but prefer top ten.

How does my schedule look? Any advice on what to do over the years to get into an Ivy League school? Any suggestions for scholarships? Any advice would be lovely(: Thanks!

My husband and I have a few friends who, due NOT to the economy but poor financial decisions, are going through rough times financially. My husband and I are far from rich, but we can afford to go to the local water park, to the movies, and eat out at sit-down restaurants like Red Lobster occasionally.

This leads to a problem with our friends: if we call to invite them out with us, they get snippy and remind us that they can’t afford it; if we don’t invite them and they find out we went somewhere, they get offended and ask why they weren’t invited. We have them over every week or two at our home for dinner and board games, etc., so it’s not like the only thing we do is stuff that costs money.

We wouldn’t mind covering a dinner now and then except that our friends are enjoying luxuries we’ve had to forgo in order to have fun money, i.e. buying a new $60 video game every month and having (very) expensive cars, so I sort of feel like they chose what they wanted, you know?

I just don’t know what to do - it’s sort of one of those darned if you do, darned if you don’t situations. Any suggestions?

Before you answer consider the following…

First off the reason I thought this up is because I was thinking how funny it would be for hollywood to make another zombie game into a movie.. Then my imagination ran wild and the movie came together in my head.

What its about

Basically taking the plot from left4dead combining NOMercy, DeathToll DeadAirand adding both past, present and future to it as well as more personas ect…

What i see is it starts out a beautiful day =P of course in a minor league baseball park where a practice mathc is going on. in the audience cheering is Zoey(19) and her single mother(42), chanting for her little brother(14) who is playing baseball. Havent really thought out that scene too much

but what i plan is to have 4 beginning scenes introducing the lifestyles of each survivor. Basically Louis(32) will take place in a corporate sky scraper main scene will be one of his secretaries coughing and sneezing on him

Next will be Francis(24) who will be a little more rebel and young, this will take place at a gas station where the main scene is basically him riding motorcycles with his posse and eventually will transistion into Bill(67) when francis will arrive at a bar mainly for veterans and of course there is bill drinking whiskey shots listening to country music bitching about the government….

I have to run now but basically I plan on making it a little more emotional for the audience when it comes to getting into the charactors life i do plan on adding alot more personas and basically end up with 4… few would include

the church from death toll with have a priest a mother and her son and an old couple. the boss zombies will be more unique rather than completly the saem and they will have reasons as well..
