so my boyfriend of 3yr’s mom is an alcoholic.. she is an amazing person, nice, giving, friendly(honestly will talk to anyone), Curtious, truthful (even when it hurts), etc. but has had a troubleling past with abuse physical and mentally which lead her to drinking… last labor day.. she said that she that was the last day of her drinking… she was gonna cut cold turkey, she already talked to her dr. and was going to group/one on one meetings to help her.. well after a month we found out she was sneaking beer when no one was home… or when she thought we weren’t looking.. she hid them in her bathroom, and drank from a Styrofoam cup w/ lid (we couldn’t see threw).. then on her birthday.. yestureday… she said that she wanted to have a few drinks b/c it was her b-day (she doesnt know that we know she drank before this day) so she bought the beer… not 1 six pack but 2 wich means she planed on drinking 12… wich up set me b/c i hate to see her put her self threw this.. she did so well and now it is back to step one… i understand her relapsing is normal and i knew it would happen.. but after watching her take beer after beer yesterday… and then seeing her pass out while we were watching a movie… i heard her opening a can in her bedroom today it tear’s me up inside and i know it is hurting her kids.. they dont know she drank to day tho.. by bf was at work and i took the brothers out to the store and stuff… i wrote her a letter… just telling her that were here for her. and that it hurts me that she is sneaking around and lieing to us…/ not trusting us so she can confide in us… and let her know how much it is hurting the boys… she is not a bad drunk as in violent.. she is annoying but not bad… our main concern is that it is killing her.. u can see it…taking a toll on her… so i just need some suggestions/ advise…

I am 32 weeks pregnant and in the army. I have been to work every day, and have no problem with it. However recently I have had extreme nausea, and I don’t feel like I am in any condition to go to work. I do not have the luxury of calling in and the civilian nurses refuse to give soldiers quarters, which is sending them home due to being sick etc. I am expected to work every day until the day I go in to labor, which I have no problem with again, except for the fact that along with my nausea I’m extremely exhausted. I have no idea what to do, but I feel like a few days off would be benificial to my wellbeing. But it seems like I will have to be on my deathbed to get those days off. Does anyone have advice, or am I being unreasonable. I don’t need stupid comments. I am a good soldier, who is at the end of her pregnancy. Serious answers only!

Well i guess i should tell you the situation on guam.

Guam tends to be moving outward than inward, there are now several high wealth residential developments, there are few low wealth housing projects, and the majority of Guam is low density middle income homes with many homes already owned by the homeowner.

I’m not too sure about the job situation, but there are talks that because of the miltary thing here there could be more jobs available soon. and the governor seems to taking trips around asia talking about economic opportunities on guam.

It is predominately catholic and many seem to be very conservative. many churches in every village and some have two churches in one village i guess. The schools seem to be not all that great.

Their are two bases, a navy and an airforce.

hmm… i don’t know what else, i just want to know what city or place in the US can be compared to guam.

Truthfully, of what i know, a lot of them work for the government because it originally was thought to be a good idea a long time ago and now no one can find work because the filipinos don;t mind being paid far less. And a lot of people just need to live and make some wages, the government provides some jobs.

Just then there came a sound from which he dreaded, but knew was coming. It was the hound that had never lost the scent. A matter that must be addressed, tonight. As the hurried thud of steps became louder he felt a pang of guilt for bringing his troubles into such a holy place, but it couldn’t have been helped. Sweat started to perspire under his arms, leaving an exceptionally cool feeling underneath his sleeves. He had been through many confrontations and this was more of an involuntary bodily reaction now to warn him. But his fear had been harnessed long ago. He took in a deep breath, and slowly exhaled, calmly. Over and over he did this until the sound came to its climax.

The steps stopped suddenly, and he felt the eyes starring at him. Then the walking started up again with vigorous determination, heading in his direction. The adversary came to a halt maybe but a few yards away, and waited.

He felt bare now. His sanctuary had been intruded apoun, and he was forced to tear himself away from his thoughts. He tried to regain a small piece of what was lost before his company came, but stomach and back were all a flutter, signaling that there was a presence nearby.

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids. What happened?

I retained a lawyer to file chapter 7 bankruptcy in Michigan today, but now a friend has told me that I should have spent on my cards before retaining the lawyer. I spoke to the lawyer and told her something is wrong with my car, and is it ok to use the card to fix it, she said yes, as long as it wasn’t purchasing luxury items and I kept a recipt..

My question is, can I go and still spend on my card, as long as its on things like groceries and necessities and not get in trouble when I finish paying off the lawyer to start the bankruptcy process? I know the lawyer I retained can’t tell me the wrong thing to do, but I just want to know if I get gift cards for necessities (home repair, groceries, utilities, things of that sort) will it cause problems once my bankruptcy proceedings start?

Its impossible to fit all the details in here, but here goes.

I am 17- I’ll be 18 on December 22nd. I am your general good kid. I am out of highschool and currently holding a job that pays $11 an hour and will have raises- Its a potential career job. I am very responsible and have many privleges, including driving their $45,000 luxury SUV and unlimited use of the older truck.

The recent thing that came up was me wanting to sleep over at my girlfriend’s apartment. We’ve been together a year, and my mom already knows that we have slept together in the past. I asked her Saturday night over texting and she was like No way, im not allowing you to sleep over. Im not making it easier for you two to get it on.

And todya, just minutes ago, I smelled pot and my mom admitted to smoking some not too long ago! She was like it’s medicinal, my foot hurt— which isnt a big deal, Pot is legal here in Alaska.

She has offered me in the past to smoke Pot with her, and even drink champagne or wine at home. She is OFFERING me trouble, and yet she has a problem with me maybe having sex with someone i love? (Which honestly wouldn’t even happen, because my girlfriend’s meds kill her libido)

I know Im her kid still and must follow the rules, but what the eff? Why would you offer me trouble and then deny me something i really want when i’ve put lots of thought and time into it? I’ve dated my girl a year, we talk daily and see each other often. She comes over to my house frequently and I to hers.

What are your opinions? Should I bug her about this, and make her see that she’s just being silly? I don’t know, dude.
edit; i do too. i used to think she didnt want me to sleepover because my girlfriend drinks, but she knows very well that i also dont like drinking and my girlfriend doesn’t drink around me.. So I seriously think it IS sex. Which I can have night or day, she lets me go out for hours without really asking where I am.

For some silly reason, overnight is where it crosses the line, hah.
