Homophobia or not gays are the ones who have come out and be open in society. You can have all kinds of discrimination laws or change society, but it is not everyone who has to change the gays have to change. What is the use of having laws against anti-beer laws if people are afraid to buy beer. Like with DADT, I read that with the passing gay soldiers can now talk openly about their partners at home or they don’t have to hide their sexuality. Okay, but that law isn’t going nor can it make you be open with your ives. That is on you.

But then some of you may say, well we might get beat up or lose jobs. Yeah, but remember that the gay community also compares their plight to that of blacks fighting for civil rights. Blacks never have the luxury to hide their race. I am black, I can’t keep my dark skin away until I go home.

So how can some gays say they want the right to be open and out, but then at the same still live their lives closed up. Will gays use fears of being harassed or worst to stop them from doing so? If so aren’t you letting your fears get the best of you?

My husband and I have been together for about 6 years and married 2 years. We have a baby girl Isabelle who is 5 months old. We are renting a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom condo right now, and are planning on designing and building our own home. My husband’s friend is an architect so he said he can get some of his work friends to help us. We have to give him ideas for the design of our house to make blue prints. It’s going to have 6 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Here are some home designs we like.

(Disclaimer: I understand the argument that if you would like several children, a parent should stay home and be there full-time, but please answer this question with the fact that either my partner and/or I will always be there for our children, even if we cannot provide the luxury of literally being there all the time.)

What kinds of jobs (ie. lawyer? doctor?) are the best jobs to keep in my if planning to have a large family (3-4 children) and aiming to live comfortably? (Yearly vacations, being able to pay for every child’s University education, etc)

Please do not be sarcastic and counterproductive and throw out “astronaut” and “pimp”, etc- I mean what kind of feasible jobs (lawyer or doctor still being perfectly feasible paths for myself, for example) will earn a substantial living?

Thank you kindly in advance.

I just answered a question and it got me thinking, why don’t women go back into the home where they belong!? And yes! I am a female married and I am a homemaker.I could work if I wished but why should I?I am taking care of my husband the way I should! I feel that if America went back to the more simple times we would be a lot better off! Things wouldn’t be so complicated..I am not saying that “women shouldn’t work” as I know some families don’t have that luxury.. but It’s the concept.Anyone agree is so why.. disagree? Why? Thanks :) Spazz- Don’t know if your married with kids or not but ugh.. being a homemaker and doing it RIGHT? Is the hardest jon in the world ;) You could eat off my floors LOL

I live in an apartment community in Georgia. At one point these were considered “luxury” apartments, but all luxury has been lost in the past few months with the new leasing manager. We have a trash compactor directly located next to the exit, with a nice little area to pull your car up, take your trash out, and be on your way. Yesterday, I come home only to see a disgustingly ugly black trash can placed by every door. Apparently, we now have a mandatory valet waste service. Residents were not notified that this option was being considered. Also, there is a mandatory $17 per month charge, no matter whether we use the service or not, and there is no option to opt-out of the service. Is this legal?
Our current trash compactor will be left in place. The valet waste service will be emptying into the same compactor that is currently used by residents. As per my lease:

Utilities: Resident is responsible for payment of all natural gas, electricity, water and sewer, telephone, cable, satellite or other utilities and services to the apartment unless otherwise specified in Paragraph 34 (nothing stated) or in a utility addendum (nothing relevant) which is made part of this lease. Resident gives management the right to select any utility provider and change the same without notice.

My claim, is that this is not a “change”, but an “addition” to the same utility. In addition, the same waste removal service that has been in place for quite some time, will continue to empty the compactor. Residents are not required to use the valet waste service, but will be charged regardless. We still have the option to empty their garbage at the compactor, but will be charged extra for valet. Am I right?
Forgot to add, currently (the valet service does not start for another 2 weeks), residents are NOT charged for trash service. Note, the same exact service will still be in place, the valet is in addition to, yet it is mandatory for residents to pay for the valet service regardless of whether it is used.
