I’ll try to make this as succinct as possible.

My half brother - we don’t have the same fathers - is 28 and still lives at home with us, with mum. He has a four year old boy, has gone back to university so he is juggling work and his studies and - in my opinion - I think he’s obnoxious, he makes light jokes about where I purchase my attire, brags about the luxuries and pricey holidays he goes to and expects me to respect him when he doesn’t even know what to do with his own life!

I’m going to come clean, I personally think he’s a failure. For the past six months we haven’t gotten on so well because for some reason despite his reckless behaviour my mother treats him way more better than me. When she found out he got his girlfriend knocked up she didn’t shout nor show any emotion of frustration however as for me, I got almost kicked out of the house because I missed my morning dose of my liver medication.
He’s a waste of space, he brings the family home girls as if it was a escort yard, he doesn’t help with paying gas or bills and when he’s in the possible to do so he throws this amazing tantrum. Why does he get more respect, or the say within the house? Because he’s a man? He’s a pretty pathetic one…

Two weeks ago he came into my room and asked how was I, I simply replied “fine”…then there was thiawkwardrd silence and he sarcastically says “Oh thanks for asking, I’m fine too, I’m coping with studies.ect”. He then asks me if he could take me to dinner - which he only did once, and I was thinking to myself ‘as long as I live I never want to be anywhere with him’- so I told him I’m too busy. Since then we don’t greet, we don’t stay in the same room as each other, if he bought some food I don’t eat it and vice versa.

I may be 18 but I just don’t want him to talk to me! Am I being harsh or a b****?
I meant he’s conceited, actually.
I forgot to add the child doesn’t live with us, he lives with his mummy.
