So, you need a man like a fish needs a bicycle. Right. Now, I know some people who are very happily single. I also know some people who are unhappily single. Usually the men will admit to be being lonely and wanting companionship but the women tend to double down and insist that they’re “too strong” for men or some other such nonsense.

Feminism pushed women into the work place, even involuntarily. I don’t know many women who have actually said, “I want to be a career woman and a mother.” That’s generally text book feminist stuff. In my personal experience, something changes about a person when they have a child. Most women, given the chance, really, really would rather stay home and take care of their child than slave away at an office doing some petty job. However, most women don’t have the luxury to make that choice today.

And this is feminism’s fault, at least partially. In 1960, there were comparatively few women in the work force. Today, the work force is almost equally split between men and women. Certainly since that time employment opportunities have expanded in some areas, but not enough to account for a practical doubling of the labor force. This could be a reason why we’ve seen wages remain flat for nearly 30 years now for the middle class.

You reap what you sow.
Reaganomics was partially responsible, but nearly double the applicants competing for most jobs also has affected wages.
