i have been living here 2 years i just had to sign a new lease or my rent would go from 1300 to 1800 on a month to month i cant afford that due to just having a second child and being on sdi. my husband and i want to get out of here. my neighbors fight at all hours of the night, i have had to call the police because i can hear then fighting and what sounds like him hit her and shes pregnant, in the last 2 years my husband truck was broken into and we have seen at least 20 other cars with broken windows, my people next door sell drugs some guy a few doors down has people drive up while he sits outside and im sure hes selling drugs to, i have a sex offender 2 doors down and with 2 small babies we just don’t fee safe, this is supposed to be luxury apartments and homes trust me this is a better side of this city but i just cant afford to pay the fees of 1300 to get out of here and the money to get into a new place.what can i do
about the drug sellers no im not stereotyping anyone regardless of their skin color i have been around the block and know when things like that are going on, im not saying im better then anyone but now that i have kids i dont want that around them. the sex offender is not some 18 year old kid who had a young girlfriend , i do have faith in the system so much so that im thankful to the parole officer who came looking for him for not registering. he is a grown man with a family who messed with a 14 years old per the parole officer. his wife and kids live there with him he is now arrested again for failure to register but i want to be gone by the time he comes back.

in going to write them a letter advising them that as of a certain day i will no longer be living here, i dont see how anyone would be forced financially or physically to live somewhere that they dont feel safe.
