I’ve been with my husband for 7 years, but just married him last year.
In the beginning, his family was very warm and welcoming of me, but now, they don’t even bother talking to me.

Neither of them have worked in the last 4 years and I’m just jealous.
His sister met a guy and within 1 year, married him and moved to another state. They’re barely affording rent and when I asked her if she wanted to work, she says she would but she doesnt need to.

His sister in law has one 8 year old boy that she takes all over the place spending money on amusement parks, zoos, museums and more. Nearly every week they go somewhere big. She claims that being a stay at home mom is the best thing for her child, but 4/7 days a week shes not even home and is at a friends sleeping over playing drinking games. She uses her mom so when shes not there, that takes care of that.

I asked her why she doesnt work, she claims it takes away from the quality of life and that shes very happy having freedom to do whatever she wants. Her husband works around 10 hours or more and when he gets home, he goes to sleep and they dont even spend 1 hour a day with eachother.
Her son is nuts. He kicks me in the face randomly when I’m trying to talk to her about things..he screams in her face if he doesnt get to go out to the park…its insane.

Both my inlaws also live in 1 small story ranch house and I live in a 2 above average story home with a basement. They have both told me, “you waste so much money for luxury you’re going to be in debt one day. bigger homes are for the greedy.”

My husband and I have a family income of about $110,000 a year. We have no children, we have 2 cars purchased brand new, and we’ve been to 7 countries in the past 3 years, something they can never afford. So, what is with them? I cant shake the feeling of jealousy. I work a stressful 9-5 job and I always come home exhausted where as they both sleep in until 3pm, play video games..and spend their husbands money on new clothes. I could never use my husbands money like that.
