My friend found out he was moving, and today he got all moved out. Throughout this week, he’ll be getting little things that are still on the walls, etc., but it’s not guaranteed we’ll run into one another, so we probably won’t have an official “Goodbye.” We had a “Goodbye” talked on the phone tonight and that’s it. He was getting stuff, he came over to say “Bye,” but my brother told him I wasn’t home, which was true. He really wants to stay in contact and so do I. But, I’ve dealt with many people who have said that we are going to stay in touch, but we always go on with our own lives, get busy, and drift apart. I’m just patiently waiting for that to happen with our friendship. He’s about 15 minutes away. He knows I’m sort of doubtful about how things are going to work out and he says as long as I put forth the effort into our friendship, I’ll have nothing to worry about. But, by going by my past, I’ve been told that many times. I’m just actually sad about possibly losing this friendship. We get along so well, and we got super close really fast. How should I deal with this? If our friendship does fade, how should I handle it and make sure it doesn’t take a toll on me? How can I make sure we keep in contact without waring out my welcome, etc.? I know this doesn’t seem so difficult to keep this friendship, but if I could go into detail about my past, the whole situation, etc. I would. So, please try to be as understanding as possible. Thank you!
