My job is to calculate an appropriate replacement cost for a home for insurance purposes. Meaning, how much it would cost if the home were to become obliterated or lost to fire. I appraise the home by looking for special features (flooring, cabinetry, unusual features, siding , roofing, etc). I also usually measure the home and create a price per square foot for its value. I like my job but would like to know what else I could do with the same skills and like anyone, would like more money. Any ideas for other job paths/options? Also please note that I have bachelors degree and my work history experience is being employed with a large luxury insurance company (well known in the industry) for the last 4 years.
