Voting Question: Which country has the best “hours worked to income ratio”?

I’ve heard rumors that places like France have much shorter work weeks than the US, many more paid holidays and other time off, and other luxuries. I’ve also heard that even though they work much less, they actually make a better living.

If this is true it makes me feel dumb being an american slaving away with long hours, lots of overtime, barely any health coverage, only 5 holidays a year (unpaid), and haven’t taken a vacation in years, just to afford to buy a middle class home. When from the sounds of it I could move to france, work less, and yet be better off.

So that’s why I’m asking. What country or countries have the best ratio of hours worked to income ratio? I want to move somewhere where I can work less and afford more.
